Help for drought affected families

Throughout Australia, news headlines have been a constant reminder that we have been going through our worst drought on record. Although we have had recent rainfall, we don’t think you can say we are out of the woods yet.

As the news headlines unfold, you begin to think about the impact drought has on people in rural and regional communities and the realisation that it is not just affecting them, it’s affecting everyone. However, in the true Aussie spirit we still try to remain focused and approach life in a positive manner. It can be inspiring to see the will and determination people demonstrate no matter how difficult a situation can be.

We at GMHBA are aware that this drought is still having a large impact on peoples’ lives. Over recent years, upon request we have suspended memberships for people effected by drought without loss of GMHBA benefit entitlements accrued up to the date of suspension.

So if your livelihood has been severely affected by drought, contact GMHBA to find out if you are eligible to suspend your membership. Contact GMHBA. Conditions apply.
